To present a case report of a patient with vitreomacular traction syndrome and its spontaneous resolution.
Follow-up of a case of vitreomacular traction syndrome using optical coherence tomography.
Spontaneous resolution of traction evidenced in the annual follow-up.
Vitreomacular traction syndrome is caused by partial posterior vitreous detachment causing traction, anatomical and functional changes in the macula. Watchful waiting and regular monitoring with optical coherence tomography can be performed if the patient has low severity of symptoms.
