MACULAR SURGERY FOR SNIFR: STELLATE NONHEREDITARY IDIOPATHIC FOVEOMACULAR RETINOSCHISIS
This video shows a macular surgery in a 46 y/o woman with Stellate Nonhereditary Idiopathic Foveomacular Retinoschisis (SNIFR), a new entity of unknown etiology. She presented progressive vision loss (BCVA of 20/200) in her right eye, with foveal radial spoking on fundus examination, and outer plexiform layer splitting on OCT. During PPV, posterior hyaloid circumcision was performed, and ILM peeling was challenging. After 4 months, improvement in both BCVA (20/30) and OCT images were observed.
