Rhegmatogenous Retinal Detachment and Posterior Pole Proliferative Vitreoretinopathy
Seventy-two years old patient, male, with 8-days of sudden visual impairment in the right eye (counting fingers), presented a retinal detachment with multiples breaks and proliferative vitreoretinopathy (PVR CP-1h). Vitrectomy was performed, and because difficulties to PVR removal, the internal limiting membrane peeling with brilliant blue in a detached retina was performed to find the cleavage plane between the retina and PVR. Final visual acuity after 3 months follow-up was 20/50.
