Inverted Internal Limiting Membrane Flap for the Management of Optic Disc Pit with Macular Detachment
A 27 year old woman presented with visual loss over the last 4 months. Fundus examination and OCT showed optic disc pit with macular detachment. A 23 gauge vitrectomy was performed. Posterior vitreous detachment was achieved with the help of triamcinolone acetonide. Considering the physiopathology of the condition, we elected to create an inverted ILM flap and fold it over the pit, as shown in the video. Gradual absorption of subretinal fluid was observed over 12 months of follow up.
