Fixação Escleral Slipknot

Abstracts

In this surgery we performed a scleral IOL suture using a technique that allowed make the sutures into the eye. We used a CV 8 GoreTex and sutured the IOL haptic with a Slipknot. The GoreTex was introduced into the eye, and with the aid of two 23-gauge forceps, the lens haptics were tied into the vitreous cavity. In this way it was possible to fix the same PMMA single-piece not foldable dislocated lens minimizing potencial damages to cornea and iris.
