Macular Translocation for Post Vitrectomy RD with PVR - a Novel Technique
This was a very interesting and tough case with a post vitrectomy PVR where we performed macular translocation after a 360 degrees retinotomy. After several attempts to attach the retina and having to deal with troublesome PVR we could finally attach it by counteracting vectorial and intraretinal forces and actually trimming the retina making it mobile and flattened Int he posterior pole with perfluorocarbon liquid playing a major role in that task and the retina remained attached.
