Epiretinal Membrane Peeling with 23G Vitrectomy Probe

Abstracts

We intend to show a new way to remove epiretinal membrane performing the peeling with the probe in aspiration, in both patients was used the double dyeing technique with a flap builded with the tweezers, vitrectomy probe setted in aspiration mode was use to pull out the epiretinal membrane. Novelty of using the aspiration probe in a delicate step of surgery shows more control in the removal of the membrane being made in larger blocks without the need to perform more flaps.
