GRT Retinal Detachment
We describe a case of a patient with retinal detachment secondary to a giant retinal tear (GRT).
We performed a posterior vitrectomy with 23 gauge probe. PFC was used to stabilize the retina. Trocar valves prevented PFC underneath the retina. At the end, we left the eye filled with C3F8 at 15% concentration. The surgery was performed by a young surgeon, a third-year fellow.
