Unexpected intraocular foreign body

Abstracts

A 56 years-old was referred to the retina specialist presenting retinal detachment and vitreous haemorrhage 40 days after penetrating ocular trauma. He was submitted to cataract surgery and intraocular lens implant 2 days after the trauma and the surgeon referred that, during the procedure, the patient presented massive vitreous haemorrhage. He also informed that pre and post-operative ultrasounds did not found any intraocular foreign body.
