Abstract General Information
Título / Title
RETINOPATHY ASSOCIATED WITH CANCER: CASE REPORRETII
Introdução / Purpose
To report a clinical case of a patient with bilateral subacute visual loss and a suggestive diagnosis of cancer associated retinopathy with the purpose of learning and discussing this pathology.
Material e Método / Methods
A 76-year-woman,with bilateral subacute low visual acuity associated with intense photophobia perceived after right eye facectomy. The patient was firstly treated for macular edema after the facectomy and, faced with worsening of the bilateral condition and absence of evidence of angiographic or tomographic macular edema, other diagnostic hypotheses were proposed.
Funduscopy revealed diffuse rarefaction of Epr, attenuation of arterioles, yellowish deposits punctiform mid-periphery.
Resultados / Results
The patient evolved with low subacute visual acuity and symmetrical both eyes arriving at the sight of finger counts at 1 meter in 3 months associated with intense photophobia.
In the examination of optical coherence tomography it was evidenced diffuse hyperreflective deposits sub-EPR, and thinning of the retina.
In the fluorescence angiography examination, it was observed a very long arm-retina period and diffuse punctate hyperfluorescence
In the field examination Humphrey 10-2 presented bilateral central scotoma.
