Title

Up-to-date Scleral Buckling Technique

Abstracts

Scleral buckling (SB) has been employed successfully to treat rhegmatogenous retinal detachments for several decades. Over the last years, ophthalmology experienced lots of innovations, however, they have not been fully integrated to SB, which is largely performed almost as its original description. We show some steps and novel techniques which can make surgery easier and safer, as well as chandelier-assisted criopexy, sutureless encircling band and laser choroidotomy.
