Abstract General Information

Title

Preretinal macular hemorrhage as a potential protective factor against subretinal hemorhage

Abstracts

In our series of cases, we noticed that the surface tension of the preretinal blood stuck between the retina and the internal limiting membrane would overcome the surrounding vitreous acting as a compressor agent protecting the center of the macula from blood toxicity. We then introduce a new hypothesis in medical literature.
