Located retinotomy technique to remove Subretinal PVR

Abstracts

The video shows a technique used to remove Subretinal PVR with located retinotomy. A 23G pars plana vitrectomy was performed followed by vitreous base treatment. Afterward, a retinotomy was made on PVR place to remove the fibrosis with a 23G retinal microforceps using the left hand. Then, a nasal inferior drainage retinotomy, fluid-gas exchange and endolaser were done. A residual subretinal PVR was removed through the retinotomy followed by a gas-silicone oil exchange without complications.
