A dropped LENS can be handled to avoid the risk of retinal damage. After pars plana vitrectomy, the lens can be removed by using a vitrectome. It is mandatory to keep a safe distance from the retina. Safer removal of the dropped lens can be accomplished by inserting heavy liquids and performing the removal maneuvers. Scleral fixation of a Akreos MI60 lens using Gore-Tex suture. Gore-Tex suture is threaded through the eyelet and over the haptic and adjusted the tension to center the IOL.
