Abstracts

A patient who had suffered ocular trauma in his left eye was referred to our clinic after initial retinal detachment repairment, unsatisfied with his aniridia and using maximum glaucoma therapy. We performed 23g PPV, Ahmed valve implant with the aid of endoscopy and then we sutured a customized blue artificial iris with GORE-TEX CV-8, threaded with an Akreos lens. Three months after surgery, the patient was satisfied with his aesthetical outcomes and his IOP was 14mmHg without medication.
