Title

Bimanual PPV in two patients with PDR: how to approach a severe TRD

Abstracts

Bimanual pars plana vitrectomy is a surgical technique, usually necessary to achieve tissue separation in patients with Proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy with tractional retinal detachment. Typical bimanual instruments used to dissect fibrovascular membranes include forceps and scissors. Visual improvement, anatomical restoration, less surgical time and low complication rates can be succeeded even in severe cases of diabetic tractional detachment with bimanual vitreous surgery.
