WORD FROM THE BOARD

Dear friends,

At this moment, the priority of the Brazilian Vitreoretinal Society (BRAVS) board is the safety of our colleagues and families. Although Covid-19 vaccines are available, the sanitary condition in Brazil still does not allow us to promote a safe in person meeting, gathering over 1500 people in São Paulo.

So, our annual meeting in 2021 will be virtual! Despite the different format, this is a unique opportunity to interchange ideas with our friends following the philosophy to keep the same outstanding scientific program that BRAVS carefully organizes every year.

The scientific content has been distributed in 7 online modules, on Saturdays, from 8:30 am to 11:30 am (Brazilian time – BRT):

We are also happy to announce that Bayer and Novartis, with unrestricted grants, are supporting all BRAVS members, fellows, residents and students´ registrations offering them the opportunity to participate in all 7 modules for free! So, we expect a high number of colleagues in audience! For other categories, a fee for registration will be required.

Looking forward to meeting you all online on Saturdays above, from March 6th to June 19th.
